Laurent Laberdesque first encountered music very early in life. After completing his trumpet studies, he began his singer training at the same time he completed his engineering degree.
During his studies at “Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris”, he began participating in various staged opera productions, including Gounod’s Faust (Valentin), Carmen by Bizet (Moralès – Dancaire), Mozart’s Nozze di Figaro (Figaro), Verdi’s Traviata (Baron Douphol) and Dialogues des Carmélites by Poulenc (Jailer).
In 2011, Laurent Laberdesque made his debut appearance at the opera in Lyon in “Tristan and Isolde” (Helmsman) conducted by Kirill Petrenko and performed in the world premiere of Kafka’s “The Metamorphosis” to music by Michael Lévinas at the opera in Lille.
